Nick SianoWeb Team / Podcast Producer
Nick is a junior news journalism and telecommunications major. He was a correspondent with The Times of Northwest Indiana in the politics and history sections, and has also worked with the Indiana State Library, providing historical research for educational purposes. He enjoys audio storytelling, and hopes to work with media organizations in creating podcasts that cater to community storytelling. Nick will graduate in December 2017.

Kelsey is a junior journalism and telecommunications major with a minor in European studies. She had an internship with Fox 32 Chicago in the summer of 2016 where she assisted reporters out in the field and in the newsroom. In addition to her passion for news, Kelsey loves to play her violin in the Ball State Symphony Orchestra as assistant concertmaster. After graduating in May 2018, Kelsey plans to work as a reporter at a television station.

Last summer Elizabeth went to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil covering the Olympic Games with Ball State at the Games. Desiree is a senior telecommunications and journalism major with a minor in Spanish. She is also a member of Phi Mu Fraternity. While at Ball State, she has joined multiple honor societies and participated in student media groups. Megan is a senior studying news. She has interned at a local newspaper called CURRENT in Zionsville and is involved with the university’s student-run newspaper. She is working to find a job as a multimedia journalist in the broadcast news industry.

Bobby YeagerLead Audio Specialist
Bobby operated audio equipment during the numerous interviews conducted for the documentary and web video packages. He also monitored post-production audio work for the documentary through editing and mixing. In addition to the documentary, he worked on the supplementary radio series for the project. Bobby will graduate in Spring of 2018. He hopes to become an audio engineer or a producer in the music business.

Phylisia DonaldsonDocumentary Reporter
Phylisia Donaldson is a junior who is currently studying news journalism. To gain experience in her field, Phylisia has been involved with Newslink Indiana, serving as a reporter, anchor and assistant producer. As Miss Black and Gold 2016, she will be coordinating the Miss Black and Gold 2017 pageant for Ball State. She will also be working as an Administrative Assistant for Kinghorn Hall and as a servant leader for the Impact Movement. Phylisia graduates in May 2018 and plans on being a reporter for a local television station.

Jenna is a junior news telecommunications and journalism student. She is assistant news director for NewsLink Indiana and a video reporter for The Ball State Daily News. In the spring she will take over as news director for NewsLink Indiana.

John is a junior video production and theatre directing double major. In addition to directing theatre and film, John is a photographer, musician, and writer. He has worked as a self-employed guitar teacher as well. After this documentary, he is directing a full-length play that will open in February 2017 in The Cave Theater at Ball State.
